This policy explains how J.A & S.H Trading Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal information through this website and in our dealings with suppliers. We are the data controller for that information.

2. What we collect
- Enquiries. When you contact us through the enquiry form or by email, we collect your name, company, email address, phone number if you give it, and the details you send us about your products.
- Supplier relationships. If we go on to work together, we keep the business contact details of the people we deal with, plus the order, invoice and payment records the relationship creates.
- Technical information. Our website host may record standard server information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
We do not take card payments on this website, and you cannot create an account on it.
3. Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. It loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address. Google's use of that information is covered by its own privacy policy.
4. How we use your information, and why we are allowed to

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing emails without your agreement.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only where needed with:
- the provider that hosts this website, and our email provider
- Web3Forms, which delivers messages sent through our enquiry form to our inbox
- our accountants and professional advisers
- HMRC, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law allows, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a supply relationship: up to 2 years from our last contact.
- Supplier, order and invoice records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, email hello@jashtrading.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
